Cost of Living Adjustment:

HB1916 (Lampe) and HB1954 (Dixon) have both been sponsored this year. The two bills are drawing support from different sides of the aisle, but the list of cosponsors of each party has grown again this year!

SB 867 is sponsored again by Senator Wes Shoemyer. It has been referred to the Financial and Governmental Organizations and Elections Committee. Contact the members of this committee to express your support for SB 392. The members are: Senators Delbert Scott, Jason Crowell, Kevin Engler, Brad Lager, John Loudon, Maida Coleman, Jolie Justus and Jeff Smith.

Caseload Standards:

This bill is again being prepared by Representative Jeanette Mott Oxford. We will keep you informed as it progresses.

Pay Raise:

Governor Blunt has proposed a 3% increase for all state workers. This will again give larger increases to the bureaucrats high on the state’s payroll, while shortchanging front line workers. A better idea would raise everyone’s pay equally. Which would you prefer? 3% or $1,110.00
